The directorate general of foreign trade ( DGFT) announced that the governemnt allowed imports of pet coke, used for fuel purpose by graphite electrode inustry. 

The imports were allowed only four industry so far - cement , limke klin, calcium carbide and gasification industries. 

The graphite electrode industry has been added into the list as the 5th industry
